Right Here Right Now From Red Rocks Worship

DAY 2 OF 3

“Right here, right now we seek You.  Right here, right now we trust You”

Have you ever had a moment when you really just didn’t know what to do? Maybe you felt like the circumstances of life were completely out of your hands.  You worked really hard, thought you did all of the right things, but still felt like you were spinning your wheels?  If so, you are not alone! I’ve been there many times myself!  Often, we feel that we have to work extra hard to make all good things happen for ourselves.  We act as though the weight of the world is on our shoulders, and if we don’t work hard enough, compete with our peers, pray enough, etc, then, we won’t have and be all that we are meant to be.  That lifestyle is exhausting and unfulfilling!

The truth is we don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we can rest in the fact that the God of the universe is our refuge.  He is so good!  He wants us to seek and trust Him for everything!  Matthew 6:33 says to “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” In verse 34, Jesus continues by telling us not to worry about tomorrow, for it will take care of itself.  He’s telling us to put Him first before all things, and trust that He will make everything work out for our good (Romans 8:28).  We don’t have to strive and worry ourselves to death.  All we have to do is seek and trust Him!  James 1:17 says that “every good and perfect gift is from above.” So let’s trust in the one who paid it all for us.  The one who counts the number of hairs on our head, and cares about every detail of our life (Luke 12:7).  Today, let’s put our God first in every situation.  Let Him lead us throughout every moment of our day and trust that He will prove His faithfulness once again.
