Right Here Right Now From Red Rocks Worshipনমুনা
Jesus came to this earth so that we could experience the Presence of God in its fullness. Before Him, only the high priests were allowed to enter the holy place. Relationship with humanity is why Jesus endured the cross. And yet, we often deem ourselves too broken or too messy to run close to God. We are determined to wait until we “get ourselves together” in order to seek after Him, but even when we feel at our worst, we are enough to Jesus. One of my favorite things about the Lord is that He does not expect us to pick up the shattered pieces of our lives and tape them together so we can appear whole. He loves us in our most vulnerable and weak moments (2 Corinthians 12:9). Jeremiah 29:13–14 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord…” We will find the Lord when we seek Him with all our hearts. This is not saying “when you seek Me with all the polished parts of your heart.” This gives us permission to run to God with all of our doubts, questions, hurts, fears, etc. He wants us to trust Him with our hearts and watch His faithfulness in return.
What I love about this song is that it focuses our attention on the God that longs to offer hope and healing to a hurting world. There is a sense of urgency to the chorus… “right here, right now, we seek you.” We wanted to emphasize that God is ready to meet us right now—In this moment. No matter our successes or failures, He desires our hearts… now. And when we open our true selves up to Him, He offers life to the fullest (John 10:10). When we experience the presence of God, we will never look the same. So, why wait? What if we really believed in the power of God’s presence? What if we really believed that He was capable of miracles in our daily lives? What if today was the day He answered our prayers? We serve a God that is desperate to be close to us, to heal us, to comfort us, and to offer hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). His love for you goes far beyond your performance or a polished version of yourself. He loves you even when you feel too far gone, and He desires to make us more like Him every time we encounter His presence. So lets seek after Him right here, right now.
