Counting The Costনমুনা
BIBLICAL COMMUNITY:
In Genesis, God said, “It is not good for man to be alone…” Here He was talking about creating Eve, but this statement doesn’t only apply to marriage. Humans are relational beings who are meant to have others around them.
Observe a wolf or a lion. When they are hunting, they have one goal in mind: isolate one from the rest of the group. Once the prey is isolated, it is easier to take down. If the prey stays locked in the herd, they can defend one another. They remain strong.
In Scripture, when you look at the early church, you see a group that is together. They are constantly spending time with one another. They didn’t just pray together and go to church together…they hung out with each other! In Acts 2, you see the early church explode with growth because the early church lived out the gospel, and they did it together. When other people saw the church, they wanted to be a part of it.
There’s an old saying, “Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future.” There are tons of people in your local church that want to help you grow and take the next step in your faith. Find those people and watch God do some amazing things in your life.
Action Point:
Find yourself a group of people that you can run with towards Christ. Talk to them this week about holding you accountable in your relationship with God.
