Counting The Cost

DAY 11 OF 21

STAYING CONNECTED:

Have you ever felt lost and alone? Do you ever feel like God is not there? For most of us we have a sense that there is something greater in this world that we can’t live without. When we peel back the layers, we soon find out that the “something greater” is God. He is our everything. Staying connected to God, who is our life source, is one of the most important things we can do.

There will be times in your life when you don’t have the same feelings that you used to. The emotions have gone away and your relationship with God becomes hard and dry and difficult to figure out. It is in those moments that God can pull you closer to Him than you have ever been before. It is in those moments that we need to not only stay connected to Him, but also to others who will encourage us in our walk with the Lord. It is easy for us to drop God when life gets hard, but it is in those seasons when we need Him the most.

When we stay connected with God, it means that there is no turning back. We dig in our heels and say no matter what, we are going to make Him the priority. Regardless of where we are and what we are going through, we move forward knowing that God is with us. He is guiding us and leading us every step of the way!

Action Point:

As you go about your normal everyday life, remember that it is a true gift. The God who knows you and loves you is the God who wants to stay connected to you. It’s not because He needs you, but it’s because you need Him. He is the life line to your everything and He wants you! This week spend time with God letting Him know how thankful you are to Him for pursuing you.

Question(s):

How do you stay connected to God?

What are some things that keep you from being connected?
