GENERATION 31: Becoming The Bride That Changes The Worldনমুনা
We’ve focused a lot on the actions and attitudes of a Bride of noble character, but it’s impossible to forget that the wise man’s description of her in Proverbs features something beyond her actions. Her Husband praises her at every chance He can--saying that others do good, but She far surpasses them.
Christ is passionately in love with His Church. He sees Her exceeding perfection and nobility beyond anything She could do, because He’s already done it--given Himself so that She could be made spotless. Others may perform well, they may do good and noble things, but He sees Her and Her alone as an unmatchable example of goodness.
What have you been trying to do enough of to be seen as noble--good, royal and pure--by Jesus? Today, read Ephesians 5:25-32 over yourself in light of the sacrifice of Christ, who, unable to see that surpassing goodness in our reach, stepped out of Heaven and onto Earth as the ultimate sacrifice so that we could be made a Bride without blemish. He’s speaking purity over you--will you listen?
