Tha waddin pairtie
1Jesus spauk tae thaim agane ïn parables, sayin, 2“Tha Kïngdom o Heiven ïs laik a kïng that got a waddin pairtie readie fer hïs sinn. 3He sent hïs sarvints tae tha yins that wus axt tae tha pairtie tae tell thaim tae cum - but the' wudnae cum. 4Wi that he sent some mair sarvints. ‘Tell thaim that haes bin axt,’ he saed, ‘that tha spreed's aa readie. Ma oxen an ma best fattened kwye haes bin kïllt, an iveriethin ïs readie. The'ir tae cum on aheid tae tha waddin!’ 5But agane the' pyed nae heed an the' gan aff - tha yin tae hïs fairm, an tha ither tae hïs bïzness. 6An thair wus ithers tuk houl o hïs sarvints, traitit thaim wile baad an püt thaim tae deith. 7Tha kïng wus ragein. He sent oot hïs sodgers fer tae desthroy thaim murdèrers an he brunt thair cïtie doon. 8Then he saed tae hïs sarvints, ‘Tha waddin pairtie ïs readie, but tha yins A axt dïdnae desarve tae cum. 9Gang tae tha cross-róads an ax oniebodie ye fin tae cum tae tha waddin!’ 10Sae tha sarvints gan oot ïntae tha raas an the' gethert aa tha fowk the' cud fin, baith saint an sïnner, til tha waddin haal wus fu o guests.
11But whaniver tha kïng cum ïn tae see tha guests, he saa a bodie thair that haednae waddin claes on hïm. 12‘Freen,’ he axt, ‘hoo dïd ye git ïn here wi'oot claes fït fer a waddin?’ Tha man haed naethin tae say. 13Then tha kïng toul hïs sarvints, ‘Bine hïm han an fit, an clod hïm oot ïntae tha dairk, whar thair wull be greetin an scringein o teeth.’ 14Fer a hale lock o fowk ïs axt, but thair's no monie pïckt oot.”
Pyein Caesar hïs dues
15Then tha Pharisees gaed oot an collogued thegither as tae hoo the' cud ketch Jesus oot ïn sumthin he wud say. 16An sae the' sent thair ain follaers tae hïm alang wi some men o Herod's pairtie. “Maistèr,” the' saed, “we ken ye spake tha truith, an that ye taich fowk tha wye o God accoardin tae tha truith, wioot onie thocht o whut ither fowk thïnks o ye. Ye dïnnae mak o yin mair ner tha ither. 17Sae tell iz, whut's yer thïnkin? Is ït richt tae pye texes tae Caesar or no?” 18But Jesus kent thair wïckit mines, an he saed, “Ye hippycrates, fer why ir ye tryin tae ketch me oot? 19Show me tha coin ye pye tha tex wi.” The' brocht hïm a denarius#22.19 Roman siller coin, 20an he axt thaim, “Whase name an laikness ïs on ït?” 21“It's Caesar's,” the' saed. Then he saed tae thaim, “Sae gie Caesar whut belangs tae Caesar, an gie God whut belangs tae God.” 22Whaniver the' heerd thïs, the' wur dumfoonèrt. Sae the' left hïm an gan awa.
An aakwart question frae tha Sadducees
23That same day tha Sadducees, that say thair ïsnae onie risin frae tha deid, the' cum an pit a question tae Jesus. 24“Maistèr,” the' saed, “Moses toul iz that ïf a man dees wi'oot leain onie weans, hïs brither maun merrie tha weeda an hae childèr fer hïm. 25Noo supposin thair wus seiven brithers amang iz. Tha oulest gets merriet an he dees, an seein thair wur nae weans, hïs wife wus left tae hïs brither. 26Tha same thïng happent tae tha saicont brither an tha thurd, richt on doon tae tha seiventh. 27An bye an bye, tha wumman she deed as weel. 28Noo then, at tha risin frae tha deid, whase guidwife wull she be o tha seiven, seein she wus merriet tae thaim aa?”
29Jesus answert, “Ye ir no richt ava, fer ye dïnnae ken tha Scrïptures an ye dïnnae ken tha pooer o God! 30At tha risin frae tha deid, thair wull be nae mair merryin; fer whaniver the' dee, fowk wull be laik tha angels [o God] ïn heiven. 31But consarnin tha risin frae tha deid, dae yis no mine readin whut God saed tae ye: 32‘A be tha God o Abraham, tha God o Isaac, an tha God o Jacob’? He's no tha God o tha deid; he's tha God o tha leevin.” 33Whaniver tha croods heerd thïs, the' wur stoondit at hïs taichin.
Tha maist impoartin commaun
34Hearin that Jesus haed left tha Sadducees wi naethin tae say, tha Pharisees got thegither. 35An yin o thaim, a thortie on tha Laa, tried tae ketch hïm oot wi thïs question: 36“Maistèr, whut's tha maist impoartin commaun ïn tha Laa?” 37Jesus saed, “ ‘Ye maun love tha Loard yer God wi aa yer hairt an wi aa yer sowl an wi aa yer mine.’ 38Thïs ïs tha furst an tha maist impoartin commaun. 39An tha saicont yin ïs laik ït: ‘Ye maun love yer nighber jist as much as yersel.’ 40Tha hale o tha Laa an tha Proaphits hing on these twa commauns.”
A question fer tha Pharisees
41Noo whaniver tha Pharisees wus gethert roon hïm thair, Jesus axt thaim, 42“Whut dae ye thïnk aboot tha Messiah#22.42 Greek: “Christ”? Whase sinn ïs he?” “Tha sinn o Davit,” the' answert. 43He saed tae thaim, “Then hoo ïs ït that Davit, spakin bi tha Spïrit, caas hïm ‘Loard’? Fer he says,
44‘Tha Loard saed tae ma Loard:
Sït doon at ma richt han,
tae A pit yer enemies unnèr yer feet.’
45Sae ïf Davit caas tha Messiah ‘ma Loard’, hoo can he be hïs sinn as weel?” 46An naebodie haed a wurd tae say bak tae hïm, an frae that day on naebodie wud dar ax hïm onie mair questions.
