1and it is having been after the this these things, has one told Yosef: behold, your father is ill. has he taken with self his two sons, Menasheh and Ephrayim. 2and one has let know Yaakov and said: behold, your son Yosef come to you(SG); and Yisroel has self strengthened, and has self sat on bed.
3and Yaakov has said to Yosef: G-d (El) Shaddai has self appeared to me in Luz, in land Canaan, and he has me blessed. 4and he has to me said: behold, I will you multiply and will you increase, and I will you make for a company of peoples; and I will give this this land to your seed after you(SG) for an everlasting possession. 5and now, the two sons which are you(SG) given birth to having become in land Egypt before my coming to you(SG) to Egypt, they are mine: Ephrayim and Menasheh shall be mine so as Reuven and Shim'on. 6but your begotten/progeny which you (sg) have given birth to after them, shall be yours; on the name of their brothers shall they called become in their inheritance. 7… and I, when I am having come from Paddan, is me died Rachel in land Canaan on road, when it is yet having been a stretch land to come to Ephratah; and I have her there buried on way to Ephratah, this is Beit-Lechem.
8and Yisroel has seen Yosef's sons, and he has said: who are the these? 9has Yosef said to his father: these are my sons which G-d has me has given here. has he said: take/bring them, I entreat you, to me, and I will them bless. 10and the eyes of Yisroel are having been dim from age, he has not able see. has he them made come near to him, and he has them kissed and them embraced. 11and Yisroel has said to Yosef: I have not supposed your face to see, and behold has me G-d left see also your children.
12and Yosef has them brought out from between his knees, and has self bowed on his face to the ground. 13and Yosef has them both taken, Ephrayim in his right hand, to the left hand of Yisroel, and Menasheh in his left hand, to the right hand of Yisroel, and has them made come near to him. 14has Israel stretched out his right hand, and placed on head of Ephrayim, which is having been the younger, and his left hand on head of Menasheh; he has intentionally reversed his hands, because Menasheh is having been the firstborn. 15and he has blessed Yosef, and has said:
G-d who my fathers Avraham and Yitzchak are having gone before him,
G-d who is having been my shepherd from since I live/came alive until on this very day,
16the Angel which has me redeemed from all that is evil,
he shall bless the boys;
and it shall called become on them my name,
and the names of my fathers Avraham and Yitzchak;
and they shall self increase in abundance on the land.
17and Yosef has seen, that his father do/place up his right hand on head of Ephrayim, and it is seemed evil in his eyes; has he supported his father's hand, so that it taken away from Ephrayim's head on Menasheh's head. 18and Yosef has said to his father: not so, my father, because the one is the firstborn; do/place up your right hand on his head. 19but his father has not wanted, and has said: I know, my son, I know; he also will become a people, and he also will be great, but his younger brother will be greater than him, and his seed will become a fullness peoples. 20and he has them blessed in that day, so to say: with you(SG) shall self bless Yisroel, so to say: G-d shall you make so as Ephrayim and so as Menasheh. and he has stood Ephrayim before Menasheh.
21and Israel has said to Yosef: behold, I die; but G-d will be with you (PL), and he will you (PL) to return to the land of your (PL) fathers. 22and I have you(SG) given one portion over your brothers, which I have taken from the hand of the Emori with my sword and with my bow.
