chapter twenty
1because the kingdom of heaven is like to a man, an owner of the house, who is went out very early to hire workers for his vineyard. 2and after that as he had agreed was with the laborers for a denarius for the day, has he them sent in his vineyard into. 3and he is went out around the third hour, and has seen others standing in the marketplace idle; 4and has to those said: go you (PL) also in vineyard into, and what is right, will I you (PL) give! 5and they are went and he is again went out around the sixth and ninth hour, and has this same thing done. 6and around the eleventh hour is he went out, and has found others standing and said to them: why stand you (PL) here idle the entire day? 7say they to him: because no one has us not hired: says he to them: go you (PL) also in vineyard into. 8and when it is become evening, says the L-rd of the vineyard to his foreman: call the laborers, and pay out the wages, beginning from the last until to the first. 9and are come the (ones), who are hired become around the eleventh hour, and have received each one one denarius. 10and when the first are come, have they thought, that they will received more; and they themselves have also received each one one denarius. 11and when they have it taken, have they murmured at the owner of the house, 12so to say: the these last (ones) have worked only one hour, and you (SG) you have them equally placed on our account, who have (with zechus merit) carried the burden and heat of the day. 13he however has answering to one of them said: my friend, I do you (SG) not any wrong. have you then not agreed with me for one denarius? 14take this that is yours, and go; I will however give the this last one as much as you (SG). 15may I then not do with my own, what I want? or is your eye evil, because I am good? 16just in this way will the last be first, and the first—last.
