9
chapter nine
1because concerning the ministry for the holy ones, is it superfluous for we to write to you (PL); 2because I know your good will, on account of which I boast me with you (PL) before the Macedonians, that Achaia is already was prepared from last year; and your fervor has stirred up very many of them. 3I have however sent the brothers, so that our boasting about you (PL) shall not be in vain in the this matter, in order that, as I had said, you (PL) shall be prepared, 4lest will come Macedonians with me and you (PL) find not prepared, will we put to shame be—I want not to say: you (PL)—in the this confidence. 5I have it therefore esteemed for necessary to ask the brothers, that they shall go ahead to you (PL), and from before prepare your already promised blessing, that the these shall be ready as a blessing, and not as an exaction.
6(consider you (PL)) however the these: who it scatters seed with a stingy hand, this one will also have a stingy harvest; and the (one), who sows with abundance, will also reap with abundance. 7each one (shall do) as he has himself resolved in heart, not with regret or out of compulsion; because a cheerful givers has Hashem loved! 8and Hashem can you (PL) make abound His every grace, in order that you (PL), having always in everything enough, shall yourselves much abound to all kinds of deeds good; 9as it stands written:
He has scattered abroad,
He has given to the poor people;
His righteousness abides in eternity.
(Psalms 112, 9)
10and the One, who gives seed (to) the sower and bread to eat, will give and increase your seed, and make increase the fruit of your righteousness; 11in order that you (PL) shall in everything rich be to every liberality, which works a praise to Hashem through us. 12because the rendering of the this ministry not only fill on the need of the saints, but it abounds itself also through many thanksgivings to Hashem; 13and on account of the proof of the this ministry praise they Hashem for the obedience of your confessing to do self of the good News of the Moshiach, and for the generosity of the sharing in relation to them and in relation to everyone; 14and they themselves, through prayers for for your sake, yearn they after you (PL) on account of the surpassing grace of Hashem on you (PL). 15a praise to Hashem for His indescribable gift!
