Psalms 50
50
psalm L (1–6).
Tuin: Hampton
1Jehovah, God alane,
Has sent His biddin’ roon’
The hale yirth, frae the sun’s up‐gae’n
To whaur the sun gangs doon.
2Frae oot o’ Zion’s hill,
That nane can e’er excel, —
But marrow for her beauty still —
God lemed has Himsel’.
3Oor God sal come or lang,
To speak He salna fail;
Afore Him lowes sal loupin’ gang,
And roond Him roar the gale.
4E’en to the hevins He
Frae heigh abune sal ca’,
And to the yirth, that redded be
His folk, baith ane and a’.
5“To Me a’ in ae place
My sauncts maun gether’d be, —
A’ them that throwe a sacrifice
Hae made a tryst wi’ Me.”
6Syne His richt‐reddins a’
The hevins furth sal tell;
The richts and wrangs aboot us, wha
Could redd but God Himsel’?
