Revelation 22
22
1Then he showed me a pure river of the water of life, # Rev 7:17 clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb # Zec 14:8 2in the middle of its street. On each side of the river was the tree of life, # Ge 2:9; Rev 2:7 which bore twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3There shall be no more curse. # Zec 14:11 The throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. # Rev 7:15 4They shall see His face, # Mt 5:8 and His name shall be on their foreheads. # Rev 14:1 5Night shall be no more. They need no lamp nor the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. # Rev 21:23, 25 And they shall reign forever and ever. # Da 7:18, 27
The Coming of Christ
6The angel said to me, “These words are faithful and true. # Rev 19:9; 21:5 The Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show to His servants the things which must soon take place.” # Rev 1:1
7“Behold, I am coming soon. # Rev 3:11; 22:12 Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” # Rev 1:3
8I, John, am he who saw and heard these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. # Rev 1:1 9But he said to me, “See that you not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!” # Rev 19:10
10Then he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. # Da 8:26; 12:4; Rev 1:3; 10:4 11He who is unjust, let him be unjust still. He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him be righteous still. He who is holy, let him be holy still.” # Eze 3:27; Da 12:10
12“Behold, I am coming soon! # Rev 3:11; 22:7 My reward is with Me to give to each one according to his work. # Isa 40:10; Ro 2:6; 2Co 5:10; Rev 20:12 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” # Rev 1:8, 17; 21:6
14Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, # Rev 22:2 and may enter through the gates into the city. 15Outside are dogs # Php 3:2 and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters and everyone who loves and practices a lie. # Gal 5:19–21; Rev 21:8
16“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to you with this testimony for the churches. # Rev 1:1 I am the Root and the Offspring of David, # Rev 5:5 the Bright and Morning Star.” # 2Pe 1:19; Rev 2:28
17The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let him who hears say, “Come.” Let him who is thirsty come. Let him who desires take the water of life freely. # Rev 21:6
18I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, # Dt 4:2; Pr 30:6 God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book. # Rev 15:6–16:21 19And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life # Rev 13:8 and out of the Holy City and out of the things which are written in this book.
20He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” # Rev 1:2; 22:7
Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus! # 1Co 16:22
