Psalms 92
92
A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.
1It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High, # Ps 135:3; 147:1
2to declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
and Your faithfulness in the night,
3with the ten-stringed lute and with the harp,
and on the lyre with a solemn sound. # 1Sa 10:5; Ne 12:27; Ps 33:2
4For You, O Lord, have made me glad through Your work;
I will sing joyfully at the works of Your hands. # Ps 8:6
5O Lord, how great are Your works! # Ps 40:5; Rev 15:3
Your thoughts are very deep! # Ps 139:17
6A brutish man does not know, # Ps 49:10
nor does a fool understand this: # Ps 73:22
7that though the wicked spring up like grass
and though all the workers of iniquity flourish,
they will be destroyed forever: # Ps 37:38; 73:18–20
8But You, O Lord, are on high forever. # Ps 83:18
9For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,
for behold, Your enemies shall perish; # Ps 37:20
all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. # Ps 89:10
10But You have exalted my horn like the horn of the wild ox; # Nu 23:22
You have anointed me with fresh oil. # Ps 23:5
11My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies, # Ps 54:7; 91:8
and my ears have heard the doom of my wicked adversaries.
12The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree # Ps 52:8
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. # Hos 14:5–6
13Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
shall flourish in the courts of our God. # Ps 100:4; 135:2
14They shall still bear fruit in old age;
they shall be healthy and flourishing,
15to declare that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. # Dt 32:4; Ps 18:2
