Psalms 91
91
1He who dwells in the shelter # Ps 31:20 of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. # Ps 17:8
2I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, # Ps 18:2; 142:5
my God, in whom I trust.”
3Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler # Ps 124:7
and from the deadly pestilence. # Ps 91:6
4He shall cover you with His pinions,
and under His wings shall you find refuge; # Ps 17:8; 57:1
His faithfulness shall be your shield and buckler.
5You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
nor of the arrow that flies by day;
6nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
nor of the destruction that strikes at noonday. # 2Ki 19:35
7A thousand may fall at your side,
and ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8Only with your eyes shall you behold # Ps 37:34; Mal 1:5
and see the recompense of the wicked.
9Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, # Ps 71:3
even the Most High, your dwelling, # Ps 90:1
10no evil will befall you, # Pr 12:21
nor will any plague come near your tent;
11for He will give His angels charge over you
to guard you in all your ways. # Ps 34:7; Mt 4:6; Heb 1:14
12They will bear you up in their hands, # Ps 37:24
lest you strike your foot against a stone. # Pr 3:23
13You will tread upon the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent will you trample underfoot. # Da 6:22; Mk 16:18
14“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; # Ps 59:1
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him. # 1Sa 2:30; Jn 12:26
16With long life will I satisfy him # Ps 21:4
and show him My salvation.” # Ps 50:23
