A Song of Ascents.
1I will lift up my eyes to the hills; # Ps 87:1; 123:1
from whence comes my help?
2My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. # Ps 115:15; 124:8
3He will not let your foot slip; # 1Sa 2:9; Pr 3:23
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4Behold, He who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade at your right hand. # Ps 16:8
6The sun shall not strike you by day, # Isa 49:10; Rev 7:16
nor the moon by night.
7The Lord will keep you from all evil;
He will keep your soul. # Ps 41:2
8The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore. # Dt 28:6; Ps 113:2
