THE LORD OF PEACE

Dear Father,

I worship Christ, Who is magnified in a variety of names and titles as Lord of His whole creation, including in Luke 2:11b, where an angel announced to local shepherds that a Savior had been born, proclaiming: “He is the Messiah, [Christ] the Lord.” I again join the heavenly host in Luke 2:14, as they and the angel resoundingly praised You for sending Jesus, the Lord of Peace: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

I am exceedingly grateful that Your favor rests on those who receive Christ as their Savior, and that they receive His “peace at all times and in every way.” Hallelujah, that Christ is the only One Who could die on the cross, to pay the price of mankind’s sins, so that we can have eternal peace with You. I love to think of Him as the Lord of Peace (the Master, Ruler and Administrator of our peace).

I pray that Your Spirit will reveal more and more of the vast powers and character of Jesus to me, my family members and many, many other believers, so that we will wholly trust Him and live in perfect peace in Him. Thank You that the Lord of Peace is always with us, as He promises in Matthew 28:20b, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I pray these things in the name that is our certainty of peace, Jesus.
