THE LORD

Dear Father,

I worship Christ for what Paul declared in 1 Corinthians 8:6b, “there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” Hallelujah!The Lord is above all things; He created all things; He knows all things; He never changes; He is all-powerful; His promises are sure and steadfast; and He is always near! So, with all confidence, I can, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”

I love to rejoice in the greatness of the Lord by singing the Lord is King” by Charles Wesley: (verse 1) “Rejoice, the Lord is King! Your Lord and King adore; Mortals give thanks and sing, and triumph evermore; Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice! (verse 2) Jesus, the Savior, reigns, the God of truth and love; When He had purged our stains He took His seat above; Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!”

I want to be completely sub-mitted to Him, so I pray that You will help me and many other believers do what Paul said in Romans 13:14a, “Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ.” Please help us to trust Him regardless of what comes into our lives, so we will “not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our requests to God (through Him).”

May we receive the fullness of Your peace, which goes way beyond all our understanding, and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. I pray these things in His name.
