THE LAW OF DIFFERENCES IN MARRIAGE (1)

This is a very interesting and powerful law which you must never violate. God created you and your spouse differently and you need to understand, respect, and celebrate the differences between the two of you. Men and women are not the same. We are different in creation, roles and function, and God wants us to celebrate our differences. For instance, men report matters, whereas women share. You will do well not to listen to what a woman is saying, rather listen to what she means. If you are listening to what a woman is saying, you may miss what she is trying to tell you. Listen to what she means.

Men reason logically while women feel and reason at the same time. I have heard it explained scientifically that as children grow and develop, the right side of the brain (which controls logic) keeps growing in boys while the left side (which controls feeling, emotions and so on) stops growing and this is vice versa in girls. Women are lovers while men thrive on achievements. Love means much to a woman while achievements mean more to a man. You must understand these differences and not exploit each other with it.

Violating the Law of Differences can lead to a divorce. A woman is not always so concerned with achievements. A woman can easily say, “My dear, I love you, we have each other. It doesn’t matter whether your shoes have holes, whether you have a tie or not, at least we have each other and we will stay together.” A man is not satisfied with that; he wants to be sure he’s achieving something. Men are achievers while women are lovers. God made us differently that way.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to properly respect the Law of Differences. Help me to appreciate my spouse for whom You made him/her to be in Jesus' name. Amen!

The Bible says, "Two are better than one, for they have a better reward!" For these results and rewards to follow your marriage, there is a preparation phase before marriage because it is when preparation and opportunity meet together that destinies happen.
