John the Baptist prepared people for the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ! John took every opportunity to point people toward Jesus Christ. John fully understood what his role was in God's plan. Jesus knew the role that he took when he became flesh. Jesus was to be the savior of the world! God has a unique plan for each of His children. One realizes their revealed role when one trusts in God and allows Him to direct their choices in life. What roles has God given you in your life? Are you a parent? Employee? Child? Friend? Teammate? Christian?
