Psalms Streak: A Daily Devotional in the Psalmsናሙና

Devoted
As you read through these Psalms, do you ever wonder what the writers were like? What did they look like? Where did they sit down to write - by the fireplace or out in nature? Did they have a cup of coffee in one hand and a pen in the other? Did they even have pens in those days? What was the writer like? Were they good company? Would you want them to come to your birthday party? And how did they write a Psalm this long which is all about God‘s Word? How did they become so committed and devoted and in love with God? Think about that question as you look at the following verses:
GO DEEP: Vs. 145: We can often pray with just our minds and our words, but the writer of this song called out to God in a different way, with 100% of his heart. Ask God if there are any areas of your life that He is not a part of.
Vs 147: What part of the day did the writer have on the schedule to call to God and read His Word? What time of the day do you mark on your schedule to make sure you get time with God?
Vs 148: If we start the day listening to God‘s Word and calling to Him, it can begin to fill our thoughts all day! When does the writer meditate on God‘s promises? We are going to cheat a little here and look ahead one verse! It is just too good and relevant to not look at today!
Vs 164: How often does the writer praise God?
BE BOLD: Who needs to hear this? Who could you share it with?
