Insecurity: The Lies and the Truth of It.

DAY 7 OF 7

I grew up loving fairy tales and wanting to dress fancy every day and wear a crown. My daughters used to do the same thing. When they would put on their royal play dresses, it was like their entire posture changed immediately. Their shoulders were back, eloquently walking with a formal wave to the crowds that was perfectly princess like.

What are some characteristics of royalty? Royal families are often thought of being brave, courageous, confident leaders, making decisions that benefit the kingdom and its people.

1 Peter 2:9 says that we are a chosen race, a ROYAL priesthood, a holy nation.

What if we started living in that confidence of royalty in Christ? What is we started living with the confidence that comes from being full on who God says we are?

Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.”

What if we truly did know that “full well?”

To know it to the FULL with no room for: other people’s labels, the world's words, social media comparison lies, wounds that fester from our past.

When we know it FULL WELL—we gain the confidence to live it out and to live like royalty in Christ.

We can show our friends that we are a true friend because we aren’t focused on jealousy or envy. We are focused on being their champions, their supporters, their true SISTER in Jesus.

We can show our co-workers what it’s like to not be hung up on others’ opinions because we know the truth of who we are instead.

We can show the people around us how it looks to truly live in the freedom from the bondage of others' words because we are so wrapped up in God’s word.

When we know it full well, we can stand securely in our identity. So put your crown on, and live like the royalty that you are.

Day 6

About this Plan

Insecurity: The Lies and the Truth of It.

Why is it so easy to believe who we aren’t instead of who we are? We’ve accepted the lie that we are unworthy and not enough. We’ve gotten comfortable with being uncomfortable in our skin. It’s time to breakout of that trap and step into the truth: We are God's Masterpiece.
