Day 19: Prayer Casts Vision
The word “vision” refers to future events—divine prophecy. How many of us can say we have this kind of vision on our own? Most days I can’t even foretell what I’m having for lunch! The truth is, because we can’t see the future, the enemy has a tendency to keep us focused on the past. Specifically, he wants to point out the negative in our past—anything to keep us from accessing the vision God has for each of us.
Life may have handed you some hard situations. Maybe you come from a rough background or made some wrong decisions. Maybe the words of rejection have left such an imprint on your heart that it is hard to see yourself the way God sees you. No matter how many lies the devil tries to speak over you, they can never destroy the truth God has in store. So how do we access vision? Prayer.
Prayer is our passage into the divine future He has already established. We can only access it through Him. The Spirit is our intercessor, which means He intervenes on our behalf and translates what we can’t understand. God knows we can’t see the future, but when we pray, we are welcomed into His divine plan.
We are reminded to look to Him for our future. It is through prayer that we are drawn into our God-given destiny. If we want true vision and a future full of the divine, our passage is through prayer. As you pray today, ask God to give you glimpses into the orchestrated future He has planned for you.
When we move, revelation happens.
