DAY 6 OF 50

Discover and Embrace

You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you (I have planted you) that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting (that it may remain, abide) ... (John 15:16 AMPC)

We generally speak of crafting a vision for our business but for the believer, this is somewhat a misnomer. We really should not be crafting a vision for our business in that real sense of taking complete control of the process. What we should do is seek to discover God's vision for our life as it relates to the business and embrace it.

When God speaks of everything working together for good for the believer, it is in the context of a man who is seeking to walk in the purpose of God for his life, not one who is defining his own path in life.

God has called us to a defined path, “For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren. 30 And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being]." (Romans 8:29-30 AMPC)

There is indeed a grand script already written, and we are only called to play the roles assigned. Now, it will be somewhat presumptuous for an actor to enter in on the stage, and proceed to write his own script.

Still, it is often the case that some ambiguity sometimes remains about the question of whether or not we are walking in God's purpose for our lives, and pursuing His vision for our business. It need not be so. Once we can clearly see that we are being molded into the image of His Son, we can rest assured that we are on course.

If however, this is not evident, then we must seek the Lord with even greater urgency that He might commence this work in us.
