The Lord Who Heals You

DAY 18 OF 21

ARISE

Malachi 4:2a But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings;

Malachi, prophesying of Jesus, declares that when He arises, healing will be a result.

Then there is an arising of either the person who needs healing or the one who is ministering it. In Acts 9, two healings ministered through Peter are recorded- one where the person themselves had to respond in faith and one where Peter needed to be in faith for them.

The first is Aeneas who had been bedridden eight years. Healing has been made available to him through Jesus’ finished work of the Cross- but it is released as Aeneas, responds in faith, resulting in him receiving a miracle.

Don’t feel like you have to do anything extreme or foolish, or discontinue medication before the symptoms have all left without medical advice, or throw away glasses. Your healing can be released with simple steps responding to the fact that healing has already been provided for you.

Then there is also the story of Dorcas being raised from the dead. Now, Dorcas couldn’t arise on her own in faith- and perhaps this is all new to you or you don’t feel you have the faith to ‘arise’ yet- well, another person praying for you can do that on your behalf. However, it’s good to determine to grow in your confidence in God and grow into the person He has called you all to be, who can pray with authority releasing healing for others.

One way or another someone has to ‘arise’ in response to what Jesus has done- believe the truth of it, know that Jesus wants you well and has provided healing for you; know the authority that He has given to those who believe to ‘lay hands on the sick and they will recover’ and to understand that the call of the church is to release the finished works of the Cross, including healing, to this world.

About this Plan

The Lord Who Heals You

Jesus provided healing for us just as much as forgiveness through His finished work of the Cross. God has not made this difficult to receive but a simple faith that focuses on seeing Jesus and what He has already done for you, positions you for the power of God that is enough to heal 'every kind of sickness and every kind of disease'.
