The Lord Who Heals You

DAY 16 OF 21

POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

John 14:13, 14 AMP And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son. [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I Am].

Prayer offered in Jesus’ name means we are presenting all that He is and what He has done, to the sickness or situation- and then, Jesus says that He will do it.

Philippians 2:9,10 says ‘Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the Name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow’.

Therefore, follows on from what happened before- that Jesus went to the Cross on our behalf. Jesus had laid down His rights as God- He now has not just been given that right but earned it. To all the heavens He was declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection from the dead (Rom 1:4); to the earth he earned the right to be Lord by laying down His life, redeeming us from all sin, sickness, the curse and even death itself; to those under the earth, ‘He disarmed the principalities and powers, making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them’ in the Cross. Sickness must bow to the name of Jesus, pain must leave in His name, cancer must bow and even death bows to the name of Jesus.

In Acts 3, Peter and John come upon a blind man begging at the temple when they are going for prayer. Peter responds “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” What I do have- we have right to release Jesus’ finished work of healing in His name. The man was healed through Jesus’ name in the same way that others were healed by Jesus Himself. In Acts 4:7 the religious leaders ask “by what power or by what name have you done this?” It was both, just as it is today- the power of God in the name of Jesus.

About this Plan

The Lord Who Heals You

Jesus provided healing for us just as much as forgiveness through His finished work of the Cross. God has not made this difficult to receive but a simple faith that focuses on seeing Jesus and what He has already done for you, positions you for the power of God that is enough to heal 'every kind of sickness and every kind of disease'.
