Reflect The psalm writer refers to God as defender (verses 2, 6), protector and shelter (verse 7), and refuge (verse 8). What do these images convey to you about God? What do verses 3 and 4 tell you about the psalm writer’s situation? The writer urges us to tell God all our troubles (verse 8). Is there anything that you need to tell God about today? Pray Lord God, you are my defender, protector, shelter, and refuge. All power belongs to you, and I depend on you alone and place my hope and trust in you.
