Intussen het God sy Gees aan ons gegee om ons in ons swakhede te help. Ons grootste swakheid is dat ons nie aldag weet wat ons moet bid nie. Maar in sulke tye bid die Gees self vir ons. Hy vertaal al ons swaarkry in hemelse taal. Hy gaan sug en kla namens ons daar by God. En omdat God die Heilige Gees deur en deur ken, weet Hy presies hoekom sy Gees so ernstig vir ons bid. En God weet ook dat die Gees altyd volgens sy wil vir al die gelowiges bid. Ons kan nou van een saak seker wees: God gebruik elke ding wat in ons lewens gebeur om sy doel te bereik. Vir ons wat vir God liefhet, werk alles tot ons beswil uit.

There are times when it feels like my prayers bounce off the ceiling. What we often don’t realize, however, is that the Lord offers us good news right in these places. Let’s spend some time considering the good news about prayer.
