As dit darem waar sou wees, beteken dit dat alles wat ons vir julle vertel het, net ’n klomp leuens is en dat julle in net mooi niks glo wanneer julle sê julle glo in Christus nie. En dit is nie al nie. As Jesus nog dood is, beteken dit dat ons ’n klomp leuens oor God ook vertel, want ons sê mos dat Hy Christus lewendig gemaak het. As God nie mense lewendig gaan maak nie, geld dieselfde mos vir Jesus - dan is Hy mos ook nie lewendig gemaak nie. En as God Hom nie lewendig gemaak het nie, is julle nog maar net soos julle altyd was, van kop tot tone in die sonde. Dan help dit niks meer dat julle sê julle glo nie. Dan is nie net ons nie, maar ook al die ander Christene wat al dood is, sonder enige hoop totaal verlore. As Christenskap net iets beteken terwyl ons nog op hierdie aarde is en daar vir ons niks meer oor is daarna nie, is ons ’n hopelose spul mense vir wie ander net baie jammer kan voel.
