Step Out Into Your City

Impact:

The crowds came to see Jesus and were captivated by His teaching. They were amazed at the ways He lived what He taught. What they experienced was so powerful and life changing, that the word about Him traveled fast. One night when Jesus was in Capernaum, “All the people of the town gathered in front of the house.” (Mark 1:33) Everyone saw the sick being healed and people being set free from demons. Jesus demonstrated God’s love with one purpose, so that they would see God’s goodness and trust Him.

When we step out and demonstrate God’s love by sharing the Gospel and ministering to the sick and to the wounded in our cities, people will want to follow the One who empowers us. They’ll want to seek His face. These testimonies of God’s work will spread throughout our cities. They will point people to God’s salvation.

Prayer:

Jesus, I want to taste and see You. I want to be overwhelmed by Your goodness. Fill me up so much that it overflows to people all around me. Give me boldness to step out and release compassion and healing everywhere I go in my city.
