Determined To Follow JesusSample

When one’s health is failing, the person directly affected or indirectly affected might become overwhelmed with depression, pain, and anxiety. Enduring any health challenge can cause one to become weary and helpless.  Although we are not capable in our own strength to change the situation, our faith, belief, and trust in GOD’s healing power can turn it all around. 

Knowing that God can calm every raging storm in our lives, modern-day disciples must remain determined to follow Him. Our target should be to boldly aim in walking in the promises, plan, love, and purpose of God for prosperity in our health.  

The choice to actively follow Jesus no matter who is around or what’s going on displays our faith, trust, and belief that God will come through in His word concerning our every need. When one doesn’t have the answers, or know what to do, follow Jesus. Follow Jesus when things appear hopeless, when people have given up on you, and discarded you. 

Scripture reveals the outcome of individuals humbling themselves and following Jesus regarding their individual health and the health of a loved one. While Jesus was going to one of the synagogue officials home to see about his daughter, a woman with a major health challenge that she battled for several years was determined to follow Jesus in front of the crowd, amongst the distractions, and isolation. This woman was determined to follow Jesus as well as Jairus as it related to the health of his loved one. 

When one makes the conscious effort to follow Jesus something changes on the inside of them. Their walk, conversation and destiny is different and a physical, spiritual, and mental renewal takes place. 

The woman with the issue of blood experienced renewal, change, and a new destiny all because she was determined to follow Jesus despite what doctors told her and how individuals shunned her. 

Jairus experienced renewal because he was determined to follow Jesus when situations appeared dead and hopeless all whilst people mocked him in his pursuit to follow Jesus. 

For one to be determined to follow Jesus it is imperative to not focus on what others say about your situation only focus on what God says because we are not called to be afraid, we are called to “Only keep believing in Jesus and His Power.”
