The Truth Project Scriptural Devotion

USUKU 10 KWEZINGU- 12

The most important feature of any building is the part we don't see. If the foundation is flawed, the superstructure eventually crumbles; if it is sound, the house holds together as a beautiful and harmonious whole. The foundations of the American system of government were intentionally laid in the solid rock of Truth-- "the laws of nature and of nature's God." But this experiment, unique in the history of statecraft, can succeed only to the extent that its foundation is thoughtfully and carefully maintained. Am I aware of the importance of the theological and philosophical underpinnings of American democracy? Will I work to restore them?

I know, O Lord, that all nations are as nothing before You and that You count them as less than nothing and worthless (ISA.40.17). At the same time, I believe that You will not fail to bless any people who honor Your Truth and walk in Your ways, for You remain faithful and cannot deny Yourself (2TI.2.13). Demonstrate that faithfulness, I pray by granting continued success to those nations who honor you.
