Why Reading God's Word Is a Big Deal.Isampula

Through Christ, you are redeemed, restored, whole, clean, a new creation, and royalty. Not because of what other people say and not because of what you feel but because of what the Bible says you are.

And when that seeps in and you genuinely believe it, you become confident in who he uniquely made you to be so that he can use your gifting and talents to further his kingdom. I didn’t find this out until I started deeply studying God’s word and asking for his revelation and power to break through all the insecurities I struggled with. Once I was confident that God’s word was the truth and that what he said about me through Christ was true, then the focus wasn’t any longer on what I couldn’t do on my own but what I was born to do through him!

When I was a kid, there were two things I really loved to do – I loved to sing, and I loved to pretend I was a teacher. I made my neighborhood friends my backup singers in my pretend rock band, and I used to make my younger sister act like she was my student in my pretend classroom. But as I grew up, I realized I wasn’t great with kids, and there was absolutely no way that I was going to become a teacher in a school. And having a rock band also didn’t work out.

But one day, it clicked – the gift I had in my heart that I got a glimpse of when I was ten had come to fruition in such a way that I never would have imagined. I now get to teach the Bible to people all over the world, and I lead worship at my local church. Through studying God’s Word – I discovered how God wanted me to use the gifts and talents that he gave me. And using my gifts to glorify him and build his kingdom is more fulfilling than anything else I’ve ever done!

To KNOW what God wants for us, we need to know God’s WORD. When that word becomes our foundation, then our purpose and our calling have good roots and can be used freely by God for HIS good and HIS Glory!
