She killed him because he was evil, and when evil came near her tent, she drove a tent peg through its head! She didn’t wait until her husband came home. She didn’t compromise, beg, or politely ask it to leave. She didn’t wait to hear what it had to say. She did not open herself or her household to it. She put an end to its incursion into her domain. She protected what God placed under her authority. She knew which side she was on, and she wasn’t going to play politics with evil. She killed it. Dead. Done.
