How to Stop Feeling Bad and Start Enjoying LifeIsampula
Writing Your Life Story
Your happy ending begins when you realize that your life is not permanently stuck where you find yourself right now.
Think about some of the greatest authors of all time: William Shakespeare. Oscar Wilde. Mark Twain. Victor Hugo. Frederick Douglass. Maya Angelou. C. S. Lewis. Think about the stories they created. The drama. The intrigue. The twists and turns. Some chapters are cliff-hangers. Some chapters tie things together. Some chapters are, well, really challenging. But we love the stories. We love the journey stories take us on. We know that it isn’t over until we read “The End.”
You can love your story that God is writing because no matter what chapter your life is in, no matter how bad it may seem, no matter what you might be facing at this very moment, your story is not over. God has not yet written “The End.”
Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, our story. He is not just any author. He is the greatest author. As well as the greatest finisher. He not only starts the story of your life, but He also finishes it.
God started your story, and He knows how the story will end. He knows the in-between where the drama lies. He knows what “page” you are on right now. At this moment (or maybe for many moments) your story might not feel very good, it might not feel like He is there, but your story isn’t over and He is there overseeing every bit.
Your story, written by God, does not mean that everything that happens will be sunshine and roses. It does mean that no matter what, God knows how to turn the bad into something good. He knows how to take the weapons focused on you and turn them around. What the enemy sends to defeat you, God bends to complete you.
Your life is moving and changing. You are heading toward an amazing, unfolding, beautiful climax.
With His help, you can change the way you see things. That, in turn, will change how you feel about things. It is time for you to see differently, to see the pages of your God story.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You that my story is continuing to get better and better. No matter how many bad chapters I’ve lived, my best days are my next days. Your goodness is overtaking the bad in my life. Your goodness is overtaking my enemies. Your goodness is following me, chasing me, and overtaking me. And I thank You that all things are working together for my good. No matter what is going on in my life, my story doesn’t end here. You said my life will be like the light of dawn, getting brighter and brighter until the full day, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
