HALLELUJAH, HE IS RISEN!
“If there hadn’t been a Savior who rolled the stone away.”
When Jesus told his disciples He was going to be killed raised to life on the third day, they did not understand. Peter even rebuked Him and said, “This shall never happen to you!”. They couldn’t imagine their great teacher and friend suffering in this way, and they did not yet fully grasp what Jesus had been telling them all along. He was going to die for the sins of the world, and He was going to be raised to life again, bringing new life by the same resurrection power to all who believe in Him.
The resurrection of Jesus is the greatest miracle ever. It proves He was exactly who He claimed to be. All of our hope is riding on this truth! 1 Corinthians 15 tells us that if Jesus hadn’t risen from the dead, our faith would be futile, because if our faith only provides us hope in this world, then what good is it? But Jesus really did rise from the dead! And with his resurrection, He has brought us eternal life through faith in Him. So, our hope soars beyond this world. He has risen. He is who He said He was, and He did exactly what He said He would do.
