Reflections On The Gospel Of John

DON’T ALLOW GOD’S SEED TO BE DESTROYED Working in the communications field for the majority of my career has been an interesting journey and experience; observing how new technologies have brought about more efficient ways to communicate through cell phones, the Internet, and other innovative telecommunications systems has been extraordinary.

However, with all the new technological advances over the years, there is one area of communicating that has not changed and is an area that still requires due diligence to prevent any potential harm to the communications technician and/or operator. This hazard involves contact with Radio Frequency (RF) energy.

RF energy is electromagnetic waves sent via communications antennas from a transmitter to a receiver. It has been documented that biological effects often result from direct exposure to this type of energy, and in some cases it has even caused individuals to become sterile, not being able to reproduce (children or seed).

In order to prevent exposure to RF radiation, markers and signs (generally in “RED”, which should immediately caution those near it) are placed around the RF transmitting source to prevent possible exposure and to keep individuals away from the wrong environment.

Like the RF energy from a radiating antenna, our enemy the devil attempts to destroy the seed of God’s Word that abides within by enticing us to operate in the wrong environment and in the wrong way with the ultimate aim of sterilizing us so that we will become powerless and unable to reproduce. JHN.10.10 states it plainly, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...” (New King James Version).

God gives us boundary markers through the principles of His Word and through the Holy Spirit. Yet many of us still choose to disregard these boundaries (His Word and His voice) and we often end up in an environment that causes us to be spiritually sterile when we were created and designed to reproduce.

This is why we must guard our hearts because that’s where the seed of the Word is planted and where our very life flows from. “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (PRO.4.23, New Living Translation).

We cannot allow the enemy to lure us into the wrong environment as he attempts to sterilize our seed and make us ineffective. So, don’t allow the enemy to destroy your seed!

Reflections On The Gospel Of John

This devotional plan provides a different perspective on faith in the life of the believer utilizing Scripture references from the Gospel of John to challenge readers to change the way they think about everyday practical living. Faith is better classified as a verb; therefore, it must be alive and active to promote real change and lasting transformation.
