THE POWER OF SAME ACTIONS

Don't Waver

When Elijah spoke to the people at Mount Carmel he saw that their hearts were divided between serving the Lord and serving a false god. He told them they were wavering between serving God and serving Baal.

In our lives, we can fall into a similar pattern. We know that we need to trust God and put him at the center of our lives, but we waver. We start out trusting God, but we get nervous.

We say things like, "I know I need God, but if I'm going to get ahead, God's way won't work." And we let something else take the place of God in our lives.

Elijah challenged the people to make a decision about who they would follow. And, he didn't just talk about God's provision, he demonstrated it.

Through the grace of Christ, God has provided a way for us to always turn back to Him. He didn't just tell us our sins were forgiven, but he demonstrated it through the sacrifice of His Son.

His grace is enough. His love is enough. His provision is enough.

Don't waver.

Pray:

God, Thank You for being enough. You are all I need, in every part of my life. Please forgive me for the times I've wavered, and help me to trust You with all my heart, and not to lean on my own understanding. Help me to follow You and lean on You to direct my path. In Jesus' name, Amen.
