Grief Bites: A New Approach to Growing Through Grief預覽
Trust God - There is nothing that has touched your life that God has not allowed, limited, or won’t use for His Glory and your blessing.
God has brought people into my life that have experienced a varied collection of grief experiences. Some of the grief was self inflicted and others were applied at the hands of others...The guy who is a convicted felon has become a brother struggling to overcome a past. Some see a guy with failed relationships, I have come to know him as a brother in Christ hungrily seeking God and witnessing to a coworker.
Life, and grief, brings many opportunities to meet and share stories with people from many walks:
Dreams birthed in the hopes of future success.
Diligence expressed by proudly making a first large purchase.
Divorce that has emotionally devastated and financially wrecked a family.
Defeat from “Life happens” episodes filled with setbacks.
There are many raw and unedited conversations about church and experiences people have had in them.
A young guy, who has become a friend, who believes there is a God but doesn’t know Him yet.
Those angry at God for the hardships they've experienced.
Those loving God for the forgiveness they found in a relationship with Him.
I have had the honor of hearing life stories from people the past few months that I am not sure I would have been able to stand up under.
People seem to cope with pain in various ways. Some cope with religion. Some cope with chemicals. Some cope with pleasure chasing. The coping outlets seem almost endless.
Real people need Real forgiveness from a Real Savior through Real faith. When you focus on the grief, you may succumb to hopelessness, but when you focus on the Savior, His plan will bring healing.
There are many grief experiences that can break your heart, but you can always be assured that God has the power to accomplish good through each experience and use it as a powerful testimony to bring those around you to the Cross, saving many lives.
