Advent: Join the Triumph預覽
The Scripture:
"She gave birth to her first baby. It was a boy. She wrapped him in large strips of cloth. Then she placed him in a manger. That’s because there was no guest room where they could stay. There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby. It was night, and they were taking care of their sheep. An angel of the Lord appeared to them. And the glory of the Lord shone around them. They were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news. It will bring great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord'” (Luke 2:7-11, NIRV).
The Triumph:
Merry Christmas! I won’t keep you too long, I know you have a lot to do today. But I want to take time to remind us of the Good News of Christmas. That God is so Good. That He created this entire galaxy, this solar system, this Earth. He created mountains, valleys, rivers, and oceans. He created every single animal. He then created humans, and God saw that everything was in its right place and it was very good.
We were Best Friends with God and He walked in the Garden with us. Yet humans chose our own way and introduced the problem into the world. The problem is sin and it’s anything we say, think, or do that breaks God’s Rules and breaks God’s Heart. God hates sin like you would hate a brick wall that separates you from your best friend. So God did something about it out of Love. He sent His One and Only Son Jesus.
The reason we have gifts under the tree today is because God gave His Son as a Gift. Jesus lived a Perfect Life, died on the Cross, and rose three days later. He is our Only Hope, and He brought Victory. Now any of us can surrender to Jesus and be welcomed in as Children of God and be People of Victory. You are loved by a God who is so Good and you are invited to the Victory of God. Merry Christmas and Jesus loves you!
