Process Reveals True Character

God uses the process to reveal what’s hidden in our hearts. It is through the pressure of trials and tests that the true nature of our character is brought to light. Just as gold is refined by fire, the process exposes impurities—areas in our lives that need transformation and alignment with God's will. This journey is not about reaching perfection but embracing progress toward Christlikeness.

In James 1:2-4 (NKJV), we are reminded: "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."
Here, the Greek word for "testing" is dokimion (δοκίμιον), which refers to the act of proving or testing something to demonstrate its authenticity. God’s testing through the process isn't meant to break us but to refine and reveal the authentic nature of our faith and character.

Consider the life of Joseph. In Genesis 37-50, Joseph’s process spanned years of betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment before he rose to power. Each hardship revealed his unwavering trust in God, his integrity, and his patience. Had Joseph bypassed these trials, his character would not have been developed enough to steward the great responsibility of saving nations. The process shaped him into the leader God destined him to be.

The Hebrew word for "refine" in Malachi 3:3 is tsaraph (צָרַף), meaning to purify or smelt. Just like silver is purified through fire, God allows us to go through refining moments in our lives to cleanse our hearts from selfish motives and pride, preparing us for greater glory.

Prophetic Declaration: I declare that as you go through the process, God is revealing hidden strengths, building your character, and aligning your heart to His purpose. You will not fall or fail, but you will come out as pure gold, tested and proven for the greatness God has ordained for you.
