Guard Your Heart預覽
BE GRATEFUL FOR WHO YOU HAVE BECOME IN CHRIST
If you want to guard your heart, you have to use your words for good. Instead of complaining about the economic situation, your job, or anything else that happens around you, you must say and think about what is good and eternal.
In this visible world, governments are human, and their laws are based on the culture and values of each era. Therefore, everything can change or be shaken by crises, pandemics, wars, etc.
If you are only grateful when everything is in your favor, your attitude will be merely reactive and polite. On the other hand, when your focus is on the Kingdom of God, which is spiritual, unshakable, powerful, and eternal, being a grateful person is the result primarily of what you receive by the grace of God.
In Hebrews 12:27-28, it is written: "The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe."
You should rejoice in this unshakable truth and be thankful for being transported to this Kingdom of Light. The celestial laws are immutable because they are the expression of God, the Father of lights, in whom there is no change or shadow of turning (James 1:17).
There might be moments when you look around and don't see many reasons to be grateful. Instead of feeling discouraged, declare what Jesus Christ has accomplished for you, and surely your heart will be filled with deep joy and gratitude.
And the more the Spirit reveals to you of who you have become in Jesus Christ, the more grateful you will be. You are a child of God, forgiven, righteous, holy, the temple of the Holy Spirit, an heir of God, a co-heir with Christ, and an Ambassador of Christ on this earth.
When you live according to who you have become in Christ, you value what is eternal, and that is a form of gratitude to God. By being thankful to God, you protect your heart from the inconsistencies of this world.
