What Jesus Said About Fathers and Mothers Causing Spiritual Wounds預覽
Fathers and mothers who inflict wounds
Silent fathers/mothers
Often, some fathers and mothers just do not answer questions, do not ask about anything, and are not interested in giving input. They do not take the lead, provide no guidance, and show no appreciation or encouragement. This leads to confusion in the children's hearts, insecurity, instability, hopelessness, and helplessness. Such children will find it difficult to pray and or have any hope that God may be interested in them and that He wants to be a Friend and a Guide.
A story: Thomas Edison: As the story goes, Thomas Edison arrived from school one day with a letter for his mom. She read it, and he asked her what the letter was about. She said the teacher said he was a genius and they did not have qualified teachers to help him. They are sending him home so that she can educate him. She did it with great dedication. He became a famous inventor with 1093 registered patents. After his mother died, he reviewed her papers and found the letter his mother received from the school. The letter said that he had a mental illness, that the school could not educate him, and that he could not attend school anymore. His mother had a different opinion. She treated him as a genius. He became one.
Absent fathers/mothers
In our modern society, especially, some fathers and mothers are always home late from work, working on weekends, and not there in the morning to say good morning. They have to do many things independently because their parents are too busy. These children feel there is no protection, care, and security, no one to give advice, and no one who can support or encourage them and express approval for what they do and achieve. Such children will have no expectations from God. They will struggle to know God is with them, cares for them, watches over them, and is available to help in all situations and circumstances.
