Understanding the Power of the Communion Table預覽
THE COMMUNION TABLE: THE CUP OF BLESSING
1 Corinthians 10:16 says, “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?”
I want you to read this passage carefully and pay attention to the use of words. The cup that contains the wine is the symbol of the emblem of the blood of Jesus. When you put water into the cup, what do you call it? You call it a cup of water, and when you take it, you take water. The passage didn’t say “the blessed cup”. If it had said “the blessed cup”, then it's the cup, but it says “THE CUP OF BLESSING.”
Therefore, when we come to the Communion table, we are coming to take blessing. Blessing is anything positive, uplifting, and life-enhancing. A blessing is anything that releases your future to happen, while a curse is anything that stops your future from manifesting.
Verse 16 of 1 Corinthians 10 says, “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?”This is a communion of the blood of Jesus. Communion means sharing and fellowshipping. How healthy is the body of Christ? Do you agree that the body of Christ is perfectly sound and healthy and that there is no trace of sickness inside Him? If you regularly take Communion of that body, your body cannot be sick.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the provision of the blessing in the Communion. I step into the already-obtained blessings by Christ Jesus for me, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
關於此計劃
When Jesus was about to leave the world, one of the many commands he left with the believer was the Holy Communion: “Do this in remembrance of me.” Partaking of the communion table biblically makes tremendous power of God available to you, such that sickness, problems, death, and the devil will flee away. In this 31-day devotional, you will learn how to harness the power of the communion table.
