Kingdom: A 7-Day Devotional With Maverick City X Kirk Franklin預覽
“Bless me, Bless me
Bless me God Indeed
Death has been Defeated
He is our Victory
Bless me, Bless me
God not just for me
But so everyone around me
Can have everything they need”
- Bless Me, Kirk Franklin, Maverick City Music
There is nothing selfish about asking God to bless us. In fact, it is our inheritance in Christ to access “every spiritual blessing” (Eph. 1:3) He’s provided for us in Himself. Death was defeated! He is our victory, therefore, we have victory in every area of our life. We have victory in life and death, loss and gain, mountain tops and valley lows. Our position as blessed in Christ will never change based on our circumstances. We are blessed because we are seated with Him in Heavenly Places.
God is willing to bless the work of our hands if we commit it to Him (Psalm 37:5) and in that, it will become a blessing to others. He is about seeing His Kingdom established on earth by all means possible. This means He desires to bless our relationships, businesses, churches, finances, families and everything in between.
In the seasons of our life marked most by suffering, it is easy to forget that we are blessed. To see suffering as a blessing feels unnatural. It’s in this place that we can recall the suffering of our Lord that caused us to have victory in Him and to suffer is to have fellowship with Him (Romans 8:17).
SCRIPTURE:
- “‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’ Thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinth. 15:55-57
- “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.” Ephesians 1:3
QUESTIONS:
- Do you have a hard time believing God desires to bless you?
- What is an area of your life you need to see God’s blessing in?
- How does knowing you are blessed no matter the circumstance change your perspective?
