Change Your World
Scripture: Hebrews 11
If we learn anything from these reflections on the Hebrews 11 Hall of Faith, it’s that these people were far from perfect. They didn’t end up in this New Testament honor roll because they were such holy, wise, or super talented men and women. No, they have become examples to us for one reason. At some point in their lives, they chose to step out of their comfort zones, exercise their faith, and make themselves available to the almighty God.
You might be thinking that changing the world is a pretty tall order. Yes, but what about your world? What about your sphere of influence? Your friends, family, and neighborhood? Your workplace, school, or dorm? What about under your very own roof? You can have an effect there. You can be the change agent. The thermostat. The world changer.
How do you do it? How do you change your immediate environment for the better?
You do it through faith.
Perhaps you have experienced a time in your life when you felt like the Lord was nudging you in some direction—possibly to do or say something you weren’t sure you wanted to do or say. There was no booming voice from Heaven or celestial music, but deep down, you were pretty sure it was the Lord prompting you to take a step you felt reluctant to take. Maybe it was apologizing to someone. Maybe it was making a call to someone you hadn’t been speaking to. Maybe it was doing some good turn for someone you normally wouldn’t have paid attention to.
Did you listen? Did you take note of what He said?
Whatever has happened in your life, God can still use you right where you are. If you are still breathing as you read these words, your story isn’t over. That’s what Hebrews 11 is all about. And what is the one key that enabled these failing men and women to change the world?
One word: faith. The key is faith.
They were world changers because of their faith in an unchanging God. And as we learn from their examples and follow in their footsteps, by God’s grace and in His strength, we can be world changers too.
How has this week’s devotional changed your perspective on being a world changer? What have you learned about yourself? What have you learned about God?

關於此計劃
A world changer is simply a person who chooses every day to be available to God. In this week’s devotional, we’ll look at why faith is the key to living that kind of life. As we’ll see in Hebrews 11, world changers make a difference because they have more trust in God than in themselves—and end up in amazing situations they never would have dreamed possible!
