Fight for the Faith: A Prayer Journey Thru Jude預覽
Day 12
As we journey through Jude, we are convinced more and more each day of the need to “contend for the faith.”
In early church times, as in our day, people opposed the true faith—the gospel of Jesus Christ and salvation “by grace through faith” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Jude reminds us that this was true in Old Testament times as well. People with similar aims had infiltrated the company of God’s people on numerous occasions, such as those referenced here: “Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion” (11).
Heavenly Father, so it is in our day! Lord, thank You that it’s by grace that I’ve been saved, through faith, and not my own works—which are nothing more than “filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6). Help me to KNOW and LIVE what the Scriptures say, and I pray once again that You will ENABLE me to help others do the same!
關於此計劃
Jesus said that we will know the truth, and the truth will set us free (John 8:31-32). Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth. Let’s pray through Jude, and be emboldened today to fight for the faith!
