7 Stages Of Grief After Miscarriage

7天中的第1天

In the children’s book, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” by Michael Rosen, the main characters set off on an adventure, looking for a bear. As they pursue the bear, they encounter many obstacles. A dark forest, a snowstorm and a dangerous river are all on the path they hope will eventually lead to a bear. As they approach each obstacle, they take a few moments to decide how they are going to handle the challenge and then they boldly repeat the same phrase at each obstacle, “We can’t go over it. We can’t go under it. Oh, no! We’ve got to go through it!” And then they push and fight their way through the obstacles, until they have a visual on the long-awaited bear.

After a miscarriage, we have a similar choice before us. We can try to go around or under the grief, but ultimately it will not work long term. Going through the grief is the only way to get to the other side of miscarriage in a healthy manner. I know of women that suffered a miscarriage 40 years ago and because they never allowed themselves to go through the grief, they are still carrying those bitter wounds inside.

Most understand that there are seven stages to grief: shock, denial, anger, bargaining, guilt, depression and acceptance.

Regardless of which stage you are at right now, please know that God is right there with you and He will never leave you. I pray you allow your grief to draw you closer to God and not let it push you away from Him.

Our enemy, Satan, wants nothing more than to push you as far away from God, especially when you are hurting. Our enemy will use any means necessary to create as much of a wedge as possible between you and God, who is your only source of true Comfort and Peace.

As you complete this reading plan, I pray you open your heart up to God and allow Him to comfort you as you grieve.

You are not alone. You are not broken and you are not the exception to God’s love. You are a beautiful daughter of the King, created in His very own image! God knows the thoughts in your head and heart, but He still wants to hear your voice speak them to Him. Pour your heart out to God today. If you are angry, He can handle it. Don’t let your grief keep you from God. If you don’t know what to pray, pray Psalm 139 to Him.

7 Stages Of Grief After Miscarriage

The heartache that follows a miscarriage has the potential to draw us closer to God or away from Him. Our enemy, Satan, wants to take our raw emotions and lure us as far from God as he possibly can. Only God can offer the peace and healing our hearts desire. This plan will identify the seven stages of grief and guide women to find true healing within God’s Word.
