We see how amazing God’s Word is today in our verses! How is it that an Old Testament writer could understand that one day the “Perfect Lamb” would die for the sins of mankind? In today’s verses, God pulls the curtain of time aside and the people in the Old Testament are given a brief glimpse of what is to come… the foreshadowing of their coming Messiah. Hope, grace and mercy are coming! Jesus took the punishment that we deserved and instead laid down His life for ours. Because of His shed blood, we now have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins.

Are you struggling today with different sins in your life weighing you down? Realize that we ALL have gone astray! No one is perfect except Jesus and He laid His life down for you so that you can have forgiveness of your sins and live boldly for God in your life! Jesus’ death ushered in healing and peace into our lives and we are no longer slaves to the sins that have so easily entangled us.
