Battling a scarcity mindset

I have a patch of grass in my backyard that gets destroyed by the dog and regularly becomes a sand pit rather than nice green grass. This is an excellent excuse to head to the local hardware store to buy some grass seed.
It's easy to sow grass seed, just pour it into a spreader machine or simply by hand and scatter the seed over the dry, dead areas, making sure you over-sow generously, then water.

The key to having the grass seed take root is regular, daily, week-in-week-out watering, of which I am the first to admit often can be overlooked in the day-to-day of life - haha.

Proverbs 11:24-25 is a great picture of what it looks like to live generously.

We see one who lives deliberately open-handed - scattering away - and supernaturally instead of depletion, there is increase! Verse 25 brings clarity to the conundrum with linking the scattering to generous living - revealing that richness is not found in mere “things acquired” rather generosity actually is a primary heavenly growth strategy for our very own souls!

Generosity is not purely about finance; however, finance does greatly facilitate generosity.

Heavenly Generosity is a lifestyle of overflowing with the love and goodness of our Heavenly Father, scattering it around, seeking a place for it to land and take root. It may be a kind word to a neighbour, an intentional gift to a workmate, a loving prayer for a hurting friend.

My Prayer today is for the Holy Spirit to reveal where we can partake in scattering today.

What dry, dead places and spaces God is revealing to unlock is water and supply?
