No Flow, No Grow預覽
Overview
We all have spiritual heart defects. As I wrote the book No Flow No Grow: Understanding Your Child’s Heart Defect While Working on Your Own, I reflected on my own life. You are not alone. The first step is believing in His Son, Jesus (Yeshua). The second step is to repent of your sins. Lastly, ask Him to transform your heart. He will do it. Remember, He gives us free will. He will never push himself on us. We must choose to invite Him in.
A Healthy, Normal Heart
Day 1: The Spiritual Heart
What does God say about our hearts? Did you know the English word “heart” is mentioned 765 times in God’s Holy Word? The Hebrew word for heart is leb (לֵב). In Paleo Hebrew, the lamed (ל) looks like a shepherd's staff, and the beyt (ב) resembles a nomad tent or dwelling. If you look at the word, you can see the word picture as the shepherd over the whole dwelling.
The heart is the most selfish organ. It leads the whole body. Armed with this knowledge, you can see how perfect the Hebrew word leb is for heart. Our hearts send and receive blood, which is the source of life. One side of the heart sends blood to the lungs, and one receives blood from the lungs. When you think of our Creator, think of Him as a potter. He has crafted every one of us. If He knows every thought we have and every hair on our head, then He knows every defect of our hearts. He sees you. He knows you. Do you know Him? Do you see Him? Please understand that He not only sees you, but He sees your child as well.
Reflection:
Do you know Him?
Do you see Him?
As believers, we believe Yeshua was the anointed one who came and lived with mankind, died, and resurrected from the grave. Now, He sits at the right hand of the Father. He was God in the flesh, yet He asked our Heavenly Father to send us a gift. The Holy Spirit. He is our advocate, counselor, and teacher. But have we given up the staff of our heart and let Him lead us? Are you still trying to direct your own life? Take a moment and reflect on who is guiding your heart.
