A Pretty Big Deal by Megan Marshman預覽
Day 3: Fully Loved, Fully Celebrated
Over the last couple of days, we have considered what it means to be humans that God is utterly obsessed with, simply because we are His kids. There is nothing we can do to lessen or increase how much God loves us; He already loves us fully and perfectly. Wow, that is an incredible reality!
Certain passages in the Old Testament really highlight what it looks like for God to truly delight in his people. Zephaniah 3 explains how God rejoices over his people with singing. Imagine God looking at you, and when he sees the person you are and the person you are growing into, He breaks into song! It’s almost as if God is so moved by who you are, He can’t help but whirl around, celebrating you with joy and excitement! That would make me want to respond the same way!
In Psalm 149, the author invites everyone to sing back to God, songs of praise and gladness because of God's unconditional love. The Psalmist even invites the people to dance because God takes such delight in his people! Here, we see a reciprocal relationship between God's love of who we are and our celebration of who God is. God's obsession with His kids leads to responses of praise and joy.
Today, bask in the warmth and joy of knowing you are fully and completely loved by a God who is absolutely obsessed with you. As you do, allow your happiness and thankfulness to turn into worship and celebration of who God is. Reflect again on this visual story by Wonderhunt and rest in the knowledge that you are his beloved kid, fully loved for who you are.
